Know where main shut off valve for water is in your house.
If your faucet is leaking or the handle will not turn the water off completely, turn off the water to that faucet at the shut off valve.
If toilet is leaking from the supply to the tank, turn off the water at the shut off valve.
If your water heater is leaking, turn off the water to the heater at the shut off valve.
If your garbage disposal is not working, press the reset button located on the bottom of the disposal and check the circuit breaker.
